Does the concept of parables have anything to do with revelation
For me the parable is a mini Revelation—an AHA!
Matt 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
Matt 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Matt 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Matt 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Matt 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Mar 3:23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Luk 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
"...and without a parable spake he not unto them...".
So, when I saw that Jesus Christ is the beginning, and the word of God was in the beginning, I went — AHA!!!
When I saw that it is the Spirit and not the Person that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, I went — AHA!!!
And, when I saw that "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.", I went — AHA!!!
When I learned "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." — I went — AHA!!!
From then on, no man would teach me—only the Spirit that is in and manifest from them.
I now know that though all things in the Bible happened historically, they are placed in the Word of God as parabolic teachings — to bring us to God who is Spirit.
Because of the multitudinous parabolic teachings, as if they were mini-revelations, in the Bible, I have been prepared to understand the great Revelation.
I now know the simplicity revealed — in (meaning, within, inside) the end, Jesus Christ is the ending — all who believe will be saved. So, like Jesus, with the Spirit of God in me, I will tell the world of the Gospel of the Kingdom and the righteousness of God — nothing can stop me, not even death — for I will return with Him if the job is not completed when I no longer have a physical body.
So why, would I trust in the doctrine of men?—the extra Biblical histories and surmisings of men that bring us to separation? Why would I allow another man to be my authority? The whole of the answer to any question is in the Bible—the Word of God.
I love Jesus — he gave me the answer in his parabolic teachings — and now I can love all of man, even those who count themselves as my enemy...
